And then there was One

So, as I mentioned the other day, I have acquired 3 dates so far from online dating - not bad for being a member for less than 3 weeks, right? And that's after sifting through some of the shadier emails and propositions I've received. But those are for another post, another day. Yep, I've found 3 eligible men who I've at least entertained the idea of meeting and going on a date with. And so far, I've followed through on two of the three. The third is tonight. And I have to say that while the experience has been an interesting one thus far, it hasn't been exactly what I expected it to be. The commercials make everyone look so happy! You see the pretty woman meet the handsome man and shake hands, both with huge smiles on their faces. You just know they instantly click! And then the shot cuts to them, present-day, with arms wrapped around each other, smiling and talking about how they've truly found the love of their lives. Welp, I'm here to let you in on a little secret: That's not how it works.

WTW: Boys will be Girls Part TWO

Hey guys,

Sorry i've been so MIA for the last week. I celebrated my birthday from Wednesday through the wee hours of the morning on Sunday and woke up feeling deathly ill on Sunday. Haven't been at work for 2 days and am finally back in the office. I know you've missed me dearly and I've thought of many ways to make it up to you for the remainder of the week, including sexual favors, baking cookies and lying on my couch in my underwear watching The Hills marathon now that the series is over for GOOD. (the last one I may or may not have done all day yesterday).

Anyone who reads this blog regularly knows that I am a HUGE Harvard Sailing Team fan. And if you think I'm talking about the actual sailing team at the university then you clearly don't read my blog.

Ok so before I get started on this week's WTW, I have to share 2birds1blog with you. You remember a couple weeks ago when I threw back to 1996? K's Choice? Not an Addict? Ringing any bells? Well, part of my morning routine when I get to work is: Start up computer. Load office email. Load Internet Explorer. Click 2b1b from my igoogle. Read today's post while eating my breakfast and drinking coffee. And today I was BLOWN AWAY! Meggles threw back to middle school and DAMN did she hit some hot songs.
