Wild Bills Recap - A Little Disappointing, Eric Church Recap - Legendary!

Well, I'm sad to say that Saturday night was not the red-neck, buck-toothed experience I thought it was going to be. I was expecting full-on cut-off flanel shirts, paired with gianormous belt buckles, cowboy hats and boots, but I really didn't see that much of that attire there. There were no coyote-ugly bartenders, no mechanical bull (or at least it was out of my line of sight), no line-dancing even! I did see some Woo Girls though, and I, myself became a Woo Girl, so I had that going for me. But all in all, my drinking game didn't play out quite as well as I thought it would have. But the concert was, in a word, AMAZING. There was lots of Jager, TONS of people, and Eric played my song, and we danced and sang and all was right with the world. I got a little, shall we say, schwasty-faced on Saturday, thanks to my very non-coyote-esque (read: she-male) bartender and my good friend Jager:

Love of my life - music edition

In 2 days I'll be seeing the most recent love of my music life on stage! I. Cannot. Wait! Eric Church and I are new lovers - it was only last September that we met. (disclaimer, i am a 90s teeny-bopper at heart and Brian Littrell will always be the #1 love of my music life - Eric doesn't quite compare, but for this chapter of my life - and for the subject of this post, he's pure gold) He came to see me at my old college town, Athens, Georgia. It was love at first chord. Now before the night that the actual in-person magic happened, we had started to become acquainted with one another a few weeks prior to our face-to-face. I would ask him questions about where my life was headed, why I was feeling miserable there for a little while, and how did he feel about me. And yes, he answered me in song. It was like he knew exactly the words to say and how to say them.

A String of Random Thoughts...

-So the Office Christmas party was not-that-bad-but-thank-god-for-alcohol-and-i-got-to-take-home-a-poinsetta-plant-so-i-guess-it-was-ok. It wasn't the epic embarrassment that I thought it might be. I did have to sing but I wasn't the only one who got up there so I felt ok about it.

-If there was a female version of Barney Stinson, I think I'd like to be her. Why, you ask? What's so great about Barney Stinson? Well, my friends if you have to ask that question, you clearly haven't met Barney.
