So as many of you know, How I Met Your Mother is one of my favorite shows on TV right now, and I caught last night's episode online and that is the source of inspiration for today's post. Marshall (Jason Siegal) tries to make Ted feel good about a house he just purchased that is apparently failing the housing inspection miserably. So in an effort to keep everyone from beating up on Ted, he deflects their attention by saying "you know we've all done some dumb stuff in our time, but don't beat up on Ted, at least he didnt (insert story about driving the wrong way on the interstate here)." And that inspired a game called Drunk? Or a Kid? Which may or may not be one of the best games ever invented. And you better believe that I fully intend to pull this one out at the next party I go to and turn it into a drinking game. Marshall would tell these stories and everyone would have to guess if he did this story when he was drunk or when he was a kid. So...I'd like to share a few of my stories with you, my beloved readers and see if you can determine whether I was Drunk? Or a Kid? Here goes nothing:
Just a 20-something Atlanta native, trying to figure out this crazy, mixed-up world. And laughing at myself and everyone else in the process.

Drinking Game Saturday - early edition
So as you all know, I'm pretty pumped about the Eric Church concert tomorrow night. And as a result, I've put together a little Drinking Game for Saturday, but I'm posting it today because I know I will not feel like blogging tomorrow. One thing that I'm apparently going to discover on Saturday night, is just how red-neck this place called Wild Bill's is. I've heard stories. And I've been to Cowboy's in Kennesaw, as well as Blindhorse in Greenville - so I think I'm pretty well acquainted with Country Bars and the type of people that frequent them. You've got your under-agers who think they're getting away with passing for 21, but you can tell they're probably only 18 based on the way they're dressed/lack of clothing. There's always a mechanical bull. A huge dance floor that's filled with line-dancing. Sometimes these bars turn into Coyote Ugly for a song or two, just to get the crowd (read: guys in hopes of getting laid) riled up. All in all, I just know it's going to be a classy place. So I'm just going to take a gander about they types of things and people I'll see when I grace Wild Bill's with my presence. So, without further adieu, I give you:

Pre-lude to the Office Christmas Party
Ok, gotta make this short and sweet because my office christmas party is in t minus 2 hours and I still have loads of work to do. I can't decide how I feel about this year's office christmas party. Granted, it hasn't occurred yet so i'm sure I'll have some opinion of it by 6:00 tonight but let me just enlighten you on how the office christmas party has run in the past and why I'm a little frustrated about this afternoon. So back in 2007, when the economy was just headed for the shitter and not actually IN the shitter, I had been at my job for about 7 months when Christmas time came around. I was still getting to know everyone in the office and, while I was younger than everyone by about 15 years, I still felt like an adult and that I'd be able to relate to my co-workers on some level. After all, I had a boyfriend of a year and 3 months, I felt mature, I'd finished college and done an internship. I was a professional! A 20-something professional! Doing what I had gone to school for (which is more than I can say for a lot of my friends - not hating, just stating fact). So my boss Dan (from Back from My Business Trip fame) and his wife Dora (i know, so cute isn't it? Dan and Dora! don't you just want to eat them up?) Hosted an office Christmas party at their house. which is in a country club.

SEC Championship Drinking Game!
Happy Friday everyone!
God am I glad it's Friday. Even though I was out of the office for 1 and a half days this week, my work week still felt exhaustingly long...I'm so glad it's the weekend. Now as you probably know I am a bulldog fan through and through. Despite the lack-luster season we had this year I will always support my dawgs and I have to say that I'm really sad that I won't be cheering for my team this weekend for the SEC championship. Instead I have to watch 2 of my least favorite teams in the SEC go head to head this weekend and I honestly don't want to cheer for either side. However, I will watch the game because 1) I love the SEC, 2) I'm interested to see the outcome.
