Vegas Adventures

How lucky am I that I get to visit Vegas twice in one year!?!?!? The first time was on the company dime and this time, Mom & Pops will be funding my gambling and drinking habits. Needless to say I'm pretty stoked. I love the Vegas and I can't wait to play a little roulette, a little black-jack, perhaps some craps & hit those slot machines. How crazy awesome would it be to win a little moolah in a couple of days! Yes and please.

I wish that I could be a California Girl...

Ah yes, the return from the beautiful city of Los Angeles. And now I'm back in the too-hot-too-humid city of Atlanta. I came to a realization a few weeks ago that a LOT of my closest friends have moved away. Soph is in LA, Meggie is in Oregon, Serena's in Charlotte, Catharine is in New York, J-baz is in Charleston, Carly is in Chicago and MK is in San Diego. And I'd almost take it personally if they didn't each have legit reasons for wanting to move to the places they've moved to. Whether it's for school, a new job, a non-profit, or to be closer to family, every single one of them has valid reasons for wanting to high-tail it out of Georgia and be at least 5 hours away from me. And yes, it's extremely narcissistic of me to make their change of geography all about me but I guess when birthdays roll around it makes me feel extremely lonely. And I kind of take it personally even though I know it's not their intent and I know I shouldn't. But yeah, the big 2-5 this year. ugh. It makes my neck hurt - must be growing pains, right?

The New York Smiths

Well I think you all should know that after today I'll be a little MIA til next week. I might have time to put together a WTW tomorrow but no promises because I'm about to hit the skies and visit my bestie in LA!!!!!!!! It's 4th of July weekend this weekend and what better time to take a vacay, right? AND I'm going with Leigh and Nicole! Two fabulous and amazing friends of mine and we are going to hit the streets of LA, see the sights, meet some celebs (hopefully) and indulge in some much needed R&R. I might even get to meet The NY Smiths! The NY Smiths are Chris and Rebecca Smith from The Harvard Sailing Team.
